The Ultimate Fanfic Contest 2010
Written by Killashandra on 2010-03-03
Yes writers and fellow Philes it’s almost time for XFU’S Annual Fanfic Contest, so sharpen those pencils, pull closer those notepads, and prepare to be super creative.
The contest will kick off on the 1st of May this year and will run through June and July, entries will close 31 July 2010 12pm central standard time.
There will only be one e-mail address this year, as we had some hiccups with multiple addresses last year.
We are still canvassing prizes for this year’s contest so any input from XFU members would be appreciated. PM Killashandra or Maurisap with ideas and feedback.
Would there be any interest for a 2010 XFU Ultimate Cliché’ Fic, compiled between the members again. Same like last year and just because we can, not to mention it was fun.
Happy writing all.

EXCLUSIVE! 1,000 Pearls Falling From the Sky
Written by David Anderson on 2010-03-01
"A thousand pearls falling from the sky."
Hello everyone,
This is a big day for XFU. The major XFU update since a long time.
It is not because our domain name changed that XFU will be smaller, on the contrary.
So, let me see my watch... 11:58AM... 11:59AM... 12PM!
Here is the big announcement:
We have added...
A THOUSAND PICTURES OF GILLIAN ANDERSON on Criticart!
Yes, 1,000 pictures! Can you believe it?! It took us weeks to collect all of those!
Those pictures includes HQ photoshoots, promo pics, screencaptures, personal pictures, paparazzi pictures (yes, those are allowed on our site), advertisments, magazines covers, rare pics, you name it!
You'll get tattoos, Dana Scully, Bleak House, The House of Mirth, Straightheads, lollipops, George Clooney, Angelina Jolie, Jodie Foster, Elthon John, cleavage, David Duchovny, smiles, pouts, puppy eyes, dresses, sex, kisses, giggles, bad hair days, kids, Africa, Mark, Ben Affleck lurking, charity events, tears, legs, and so on, and so on, you name it!
The objective (or should I say the Quest!) is to have every single picture of Gillian Anderson.
So, we will continue to upload new pictures regularely.
For now, the gallery is very basic and we have to rearrange the order of the pictures (and there are a few double pictures), but then we will be able to add personal comments on the pictures, add locations, dates, etc. It will be the ultimate place for Gillian Anderson pictures. Period.
Many of those pictures are in high quality and none of the pictures have a tag on it. Tags suck.
Feel free to use those pictures for your artworks, but be aware that we do not own the rights of those pictures.
Being a fan is, according to us, more about sharing than it is about keeping.
And thanks to YOU, because most of the pictures have been posted in the POTD topics on our forums by our own members. They did all the hard work and we want to use this opportunity to thank all the Gillian Anderson fans on our site.
Gilly looks so beautiful that we should talk about a thousand pearls falling from the sky.
For this event, we have added a new Gillian Anderson background. It will be temporary, but we may keep it for the Gillian Anderson's hub.
We also updated the icon of the Gillian Anderson's forum.
And we've posted a great video clip of Gillian Anderson on the song called... "Gillian Anderson" by the Young Hasselhoffs. Cheers!
So, let's get to it!
Click here to access the 1,000 pictures of Gillian Anderson!
EN-JOY!
Feel free to write a comment on this news or to join the dedicated topic about this event.

Another DD believes in UFO's
Written by Songbird on 2010-02-16
I saw this on TV a week ago, then found the links on YT. Actor Danny Dyer (who starred with Gillian in 'Straightheads') is a believer in UFO's and this is his documentary about the subject.
Hi Everyone
It includes footage of an
and our british Mulder, Nick Pope who works for MOD reveals all about the UK X Files, which are now released to the public. He also visits the USA. It's really interesting stuff for anyone who believes!
I personally am more a sceptic when it comes to actual 'aliens'.
I've seen a UFO but think they are military aircraft that the public have not been made aware of yet. Still I do remain open minded about the possibility of life out there in the universe. Anyway I hope you enjoy this, only I must warn you there is swearing in it - well it is Danny Dyer after all! ![]()
